As residents of Osun State turned out massively  to participate in the ongoing governorship election in the state, the candidate of People Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Ademola Adeleke has exercised his franchise.

Senator Adeleke voted around 8:08am in his polling unit situated at Ede town.

The election is said to have been very peaceful as at the time of filing this report. There has not been a case of rancour or crisis anywhere.

According to information gathered, the turn out of the electorate has been massive. Information revealed that the turnout at Ile-Ife, the base of Senator Iyiola Omisore, the candidate for Social Democratic Party, SDP, and Ede, the base of Adeleke is massive.

Contrary to previous system where accreditation would precede voting, the two are being done simultaneously. Once a candidate gets to the polling unit, he is accredited and asked to vote immediately.

Though, there is no case of physical vote buying, there is an allegation of buying vote at N10,000 per vote through WhatsApp .

It is equally gathered that series attempts to beat the regulations guiding the election are being perfected as party loyalists were said to hold the symbols of their parties. For example, some PDP loyalists are said to be holding umbrellas to the polling unit, while APC loyalists hold broom.
