Delta Police nab 2 kidnappers, recovers N1.08mn

Two notorious kidnap suspects believed to be involved in the kidnapping of a couple on New Year Day, along DSC Roundabout, Effurun, Delta State, have been arrested by operatives of the Zone 5 of Nigeria Police.
The suspected who are now cooling their feet at the Zone 5 headquarters in Benin are Emmanuel Ogbeni, 28 and Osifo Enakhirua, 30.
According to a statement singed by the Zone 5 Spokesman, DSP, Emeka Iheanacho, the couple, Blessing Dukuye and his wife, Joy, was returning from New Year church service when they were abducted.
‎The statement explained that the suspects were arrested at their hideouts along Alaka area and PTI Road in Effurun, Delta State.
‎Items recovered from the suspects’ residence were listed to include one Lar rifle, one AK 47 rifle, one pump action, one Brownie pistol, three 7.62 live ammunition, 15 rounds of Brownie pistol, the sum of N1.088,000, weeds suspected to be Indian Hemp, one Army camouflage, one dynamite and some charms.
‎The statement said the suspects have made useful statements and would soon be charged to court.
