A ghastly motor accident has killed three persons on Ajah-Epe Express way, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.

The accident involved a passenger bus, with the registration number AAA 868 XJ and a trailer convening an earth moving machine. The accident occurred around 10.00am on Tuesday.

Director, Lagos State Fire Service, Rasak Fadipe said the bus is owned by ‘The Young Shall Grow, with 13 passengers on board. He said the bus was overspeeding when it ran into the side of the trailer, where a part of the machine being conveyed had jutted out.

Three male passengers were fatally injured by the machine.

He said those injured had been rushed to Epe General Hospital.

Fadipe appealed to travellers not to overspeed in order to avert avoidable accidents.

He also appealed to owners of articulated trucks to ensure that whatever they were conveying were properly wedged to prevent them from falling off or causing havoc on Lagos roads.
