Super Eagles’ interim coach Samson Siasia on Thursday assured Nigerians of seeing a new team in action on Friday in Kaduna.

Siasia, who spoke to newsmen at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium (ABS) in Kaduna, assured Nigerians of victory over the visiting Pharaohs of Egypt.

“I assure Nigerians that they will witness a new team in action against the Pharaohs of Egypt here in Kaduna on Friday. I want to appeal to our fans and all Nigerians to come out to the ABS and cheer us to victory.’’

Siasia said while the new Eagles are a young team, he was optimistic they would go all out to beat the visiting Egyptians.

He expressed optimism that with the calibre of players he would parade for the clash on Friday “the team will give us good result’’.

“These are young and good players I believe will deliver. I have confidence in them and I know we are coming out victorious at the end of the match.’’

The Nigerian senior national male football team is facing the Egyptians in the first leg of a double-header clash.

The encounter is in the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.

New team captain and midfielder Mikel Obi would lead the team during the match, with key players such as Ahmed Musa and Efe Ambrose featuring.

Other likely ones for the match include Victor Moses, Odion Ighalo, Kelechi Iheanacho, Alex Iwobi and Elderson Echiejele.

The reverse fixture in the encounter will hold on Tuesday in Alexandria, Egypt.
