The new bride of Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano, Sa’adatu Barkindo Musdafa, will be going to the United Kingdom to study Information Technology.
The princess, who is a daughter of Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, the Lamido of Adamawa, was officially given in marriage to Sanusi II on Friday after Jumma’at prayer .
The Emir was not at the event as he was in Saudi Arabia, representing Nigeria as Amirul Hajj. But he is said to be excited about the resolve of his youngest wife to pursue higher education.
According to The Cable, the union will effectively be “on hold” until she completes her studies in 2019.
All Sanusi’s three wives are university graduates, while one of them is currently undertaking a master’s programme.
