A funeral prayer for the late Inde was held at 11.00 am on Saturday in Musawa town, Katsina, according to Islamic rites.
He was buried thereafter.
A statement by the PR unit of the customs said the older Inde died in his home town, Musawa, Musawa Local Government in Katsina State on Friday night after a protracted illness.
The deceased is survived by 23 children among including the Controller-General of Customs (CGS), Dikko Inde.
According to the statement, Alhaji Inde was a member of the House of Representatives in the first republic.
Until his death, the late Inde was the holder of the revered traditional title of Magajin Garin Musaw
