Manchester United Owner Dies

American billionaire and owner of English Premier League side Manchester United and American football franchise Tamps Bay Bucaneers, Malcolm Glazer  passed away Wednesday evening.

Glazer is survived by six children including Joel and Avram Glazer who have been acting as co-chairmen of Manchester United; with Joel also a co-chairman of the Tampa Bay Bucaneers along with brothers Bryan and Edward.

The National Football League franchise will remain under the Glazer family’s control according to a statement by the deceased’s wife and same is expected of their ownership of Manchester United.

Glazer, who turned 86 three days ago, became owner of Manchester United by 2005, after which the Red Devils have won five league titles, a UEFA Champions League title and one FIFA Club World Cup title.

The Tampa Bay Bucaneers on their part have won a Super Bowl world series under the helm of the Glazers, becoming a force in the NFL since Malcolm Glazer became owner in 1995.
