Village Headmaster producer, Oloyede, dies

The producer and director of the defunct television drama series, Village Headmaster, Chief Tunde Oloyede, has passed on at the age of 70.

This happened today at his residence in
Festac Town, Lagos.

Apart from producing Village Headmaster, he was President of Independent Television Producers Association of Nigeria (ITPAN) and producer/director of the TV drama series, Tightrope.

After leaving active service, he established his own outfit, “Media International Production”.

    It is such a rude shock that a man with such monumental talent that was unleashed at an auspicious moment in our country’s history would pass so gently. May his gentle soul find eternal rest. He was one of those who came, saw and worked to change the landscape. He left indelible marks in the sands of production and direction. The grateful would miss him, but the nation has already forgotten him.
