Okafor Ofiebor (Port Harcourt)

Rivers chapter of  Peoples Democratic Party on Tuesday insisted that all the documents showing  alleged fraudulent sale of assets of  state government by former Governor Rotimi Amaechi  were not fabricated as alleged by Livingstone Wechie, Executive Director, Integrity Group in a widely viewed confessions on national TV yesterday.

State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Samuel Wonosike made the assertion while reacting to the allegations made by Wechie that the Justice Omeriji Commission of Inquiry was politically masterminded.

Wonosike alleged that Wechie was paid to launder the image of Amaechi who is now the  Minister of Transportation, adding that he is using the integrity Group to earn a living.

PDP also urged the Nigerian Senate to order for the arrest of Wechie for allegedly lying under oath when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Ethics and Privileges Chaired by Senator Samuel Anyawu.

Former Governor Amaechi has always denied the allegations as witch-hunt and lies aimed at tarnishing his image.
