The Rotary Club of Abuja Wuse II (The Mayors), District 9125 Nigeria has commenced a search for an exceptional personality that will represent the club as the Face of Humanity.

As stated by the incoming President of the club, Rotn. Prince Igho Sadjere, the “Face of Humanity” personality, which currently enjoys local and international endorsements, would be a brand of the Club in the various projects to be executed.

The event for the unveiling of the ‘Face of Humanity’ personality, scheduled for Sunday, 27^th August 2017 at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja will also feature empowerment of 200 households with start-up grants to start various businesses , the Mayors’ Humanitarian Awards 2017, fundraising, investiture of 2017/2018 President and Board of Directors, Celebration of the Club’s 2^nd Year Anniversary as well as Rotary Projects Exhibition spiced with Orchestra, Music and Comedy.

According to Prince Igho Sadjere, “The club is more determined to make a huge and lasting difference in our communities and the nation at large in line with the theme of the Rotary Year 2017-2018: Rotary Making A Difference. To this end, the Rotary Club of Abuja Wuse II will host her Empowerment & Fundraising Cocktail, with the theme: “Empowering Communities For A Greater Nation.”

The Award categories according to Prince Igho Sadjere includes the Mayors’ Humanitarian Governor Awards in the 6 Geo-Political Zones; the Mayors’ Humanitarian Legislator Awards; the Mayors’ “Making A Difference” NGO Awards and the Mayors’ Role-Model Awards.

The Rotary Club of Abuja Wuse II, District 9125, Nigeria is one of the vibrant clubs of Rotary International based in Abuja. The Club, since its charter, has planned and executed successful projects and charity events within and outside Abuja.

Specifically, the Club has been able to impact communities through some of its projects, which includes provision of full academic scholarships to over 10 students in secondary schools within our community; donations of learning and teaching aids to primary schools pupils and teachers; assistance in the payment of hospital bills for the less privileged; donation of safe water facility to a secondary school as well as carrying out community health clinics and campaigns among others.
