Speaker Abbas leads House delegation to Kano over Dantata’s death

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, on Tuesday, led a delegation to Kano and condoled with the family of the late business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata.

The Speaker and his entourage also visited Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and expressed deep sorrow over the demise of  Dantata.

He led members of the House of Representatives, who condoled with the people and government of Kano State on the demise of the late philanthropist.

Speaker Abbas, who commiserated with Governor Yusuf at his office in Government House, described the late Dantata as “a man the House considered with the highest esteem.

“He was an exemplary figure who demonstrated immense goodwill not only to the House but to the country at large. We felt that on this day, we should come and personally condole with you, being the leader of the state.”

He prayed to Almighty God to forgive the late Dantata’s shortcomings and grant strength to his family, the people of the state, and Nigeria as a whole to bear the loss.

Governor Yusuf thanked the lawmakers for finding time to condole with the people of Kano State over the demise of the late international business tycoon, despite their tight schedules.

He expressed appreciation for the concern shown by the National Assembly and the Federal Government for sending a delegation to Medina, Saudi Arabia, for the funeral of the late Alhaji Aminu  Alhassan Dantata.
