In a major stride toward strengthening data security and reinforcing global operational standards, IMBIL Telecom Solutions Nigeria Ltd has received the prestigious ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS).
The certification was issued on July 2, 2025, by Pacific Cert, an internationally accredited certification body based in New Delhi, India. It confirms that IMBIL Telecom has met all the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving its information security framework.
The scope of the certification covers the company’s core services — IMBIL TALK, IMBIL CONNECT, and IMBIL MVNA/E — as well as all business activities, support functions, infrastructure, and personnel responsible for service delivery and management.
“We are proud of this achievement. It is a testament to our unwavering commitment to information security, customer trust, and global best practices,” said Mr Akeem Ogunkoya, Managing Director of IMBIL Telecom. “In an era where digital security is non-negotiable, this certification sets us apart and strengthens our reputation as a trusted technology partner.”
The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard is recognized globally as the benchmark for managing information security risks. It provides a systematic approach to managing sensitive company and customer data, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
The certificate, numbered PC-0222-1855, will remain valid until July 2, 2028, subject to successful surveillance audits, the first of which is scheduled for July 1, 2026.
Industry experts have lauded the development, describing it as a significant boost for Nigeria’s ICT ecosystem and a reflection of IMBIL’s growing influence in the telecom and digital infrastructure space.
IMBIL Telecom Solutions, headquartered in Ikeja, Lagos, is a fast-rising indigenous telecom provider offering voice aggregation, virtual network services, and managed data solutions tailored to the Nigerian and African markets.
This ISO certification, according to observers, will enhance the company’s appeal to enterprise clients, public sector agencies, and international partners looking for secure and standards-compliant telecom solutions.
