Applicants who were disallowed from writing the Nigerian Airforce recruitment examination held in Benin, Edo state during the weekend, have accused the Force of selective treatment.
Some of the applicants who spoke to journalists at the Imaguero College-venue of the examination, alleged that those who did ducumentation with Airforce have been sidelined from the interview.
One of the applicants from Delta state, Ube Desmond, said he carried out his documentation at the Airforce Base Benin on February 23, but he was told that his name was not on the list.
“Most of us have the number given to us during our documentation at their Base, but we were not allowed to write the examination. They were calling people from home to come for the aptitude test,” he alleged.
Another applicant who gave his name simply as John, said the Force sent him a text message to come for the examination, but on getting there, he was told that his name was not on the list.
“I went for the documentation at the Airforce Base in Benin here. But I am surprised that they said my name is not on the list. If they know they will not allow us to write the test, why did they send text [message] to us?” he queried.
Effort to get reaction from the Force met with brick wall, as the officers manning the gate of the venue disallowed journalists from entering.
“I can’t allow you to enter inside. You have to wait at the gate and if the officer in charge of the exercise comes out, I will let you in so that you can see him,” one of the unidentified officers told journalists.
