Rimi’s grave, by Bruce Malogo

Alhaji Abubakar Rimi

So much with us, vanity…

The bones beneath this mournful, decrepit mound, according to Bruce Malogo, belonged,to one of Nigeria’s strongest of men, Alhaji Muhammadu Abubakar Rimi (1940 – 4 April 2010), a Nigerian politician, who was the governor of Kano State during the Nigerian Second Republic. He died following an attack by armed robbers and was buried in Kano. So much with us…

The Kano State government should do something to make the man’s grave edifying. Was he not a former governor?
