President Muhammadu Buhari is alive and well, the Nigerian President media aides said on Saturday in a series of tweets.
They were reacting to a report by one Metro-uk.com that President Buhari who left Nigeria for United Kingdom on a 10 day vacation last Thursday had died in a German hospital.
The report, which went viral on the internet, indicated that the Nigerian Mission in the UK confirmed that Buhari has died in a German Hospital where he was receiving medical care
But while denying the report, special adviser to the President on media and publicity, Femi Adeshina said: “Best wishes to all who wish PMB well. As for those who carry evil rumors, may they receive grace to repent.”
Also, debunked the report, Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the Nigerian president on media and publicity tweeted: ”He (President Buhari) is alive and well! President Buhari is not magical. He cannot be holidaying in the UK & be in Germany, dead or alive at the same time.”
“He is unlike a past President who was at Ota, with Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and attending the Trump inauguration in D.C, being in two places at the same time!”
