Activist lawyer, Agbaje dies in London

Lagos based human rights lawyer and activist,  Fred Agbaje, is dead.

Reports indicated that Agbaje who was also a foremost commentator on national affairs, died at a London hospital after being in a coma for more than two weeks due to an undisclosed ailment.

Gbenga Demola-Ojo, a laywer,  described Agbaje’s  death as, ‘another great loss’ in a Facebook post.

 “Fred Agbaje, constitutional lawyer, gentleman, media personality and patriot! May your great soul find rest!,” Demola-Ojo wrote.  

Also, Monday Ubani, vice chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), described Agbaje’s death as shocking and painful

Ubani told The Punch that Agbaje was “a foremost human rights lawyer and the legal profession in Nigeria and beyond will definitely miss him. I condole with his family, and pray for them.”
