Zlatan Ibrahimovic: asks for crazy pay in England

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, according to reports, wants to join an English Premier League club, but has literally asked his three suitors to go and loot the bank.

Reports this morning said the PSG prolific has told the clubs to pay him a world record £600,000-a-week to obtain his service.

The wage demand will dwarf the current Premier League record of Wayne Rooney’s £260,000-a-week. Three clubs are said to be interested in him–Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea. Manchester City are yet to knock on the doors of ‘King Ibrahimovic’.

The Independent reported today that the  Sweden international is also believed to have offers from China too.

The Independent said  a source involved in trying to bring Ibrahimovic to the Premier League labelled the wage demands “crazy” and cast doubts over whether any English club would be willing to fork out such a wage packet on one player in the latter years of his career.

“We would like to sign him, but the money is crazy,” the source said. “We get that he would be a significant capture, but is he really worth that money — and at the age of 34?”
