Hayatou and his wife

Guests have started arriving for the FIFA Ballon d’Or Gala at the Kongresshaus in Zurich, Switzerland.

Acting FIFA President, Isa Hayatou and his wife, decked in the African buba and wrapper  and the football stars, Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar have arrived to red carpet treatment.

The stars were all mobbed for autographs as they made their way into the hall. The event starts at 6.30pm

FIFA Puskás Award: Alessandro Florenzi, Wendell Lira, Lionel Messi
