Still waiting for the big fire to annihilate our world

We were told to expect the big fire on 7 October, one that will be so huge to incinerate the entire world and end this incarnation.

But nothing came. Nothing happened. The world goes on. It was not annihilated.

United States Pennsylvania based eBible Fellowship may need to comb the Bible all over again to find the hidden message about when next the world will come to an end.

People are constantly asking, “Why October 7, 2015?”

We checked the group’s website to find out if they have an explanation for what has  turned to be a false  prophecy. But the site was silent on the matter.

The group had put the world, for those who care, on tenterhooks, when it predicted 7 October as the end of it all.

In  an article by Guardian of London, the eBible Fellowship, was said to have  based its prediction of a 7  October obliteration on a previous claim that the world would end on May 21, 2011. While that claim proved to be false, the organisation was confident it had the correct date this time.

“According to what the Bible is presenting, it does appear that 7 October will be the day that God has spoken of: in which, the world will pass away,” said Chris McCann, the leader and founder of the fellowship, an online gathering of Christians headquartered in Philadelphia.

“It’ll be gone forever. Annihilated.”

McCann said, according to his interpretation of the Bible, the world would be obliterated “with fire.”

The blood moon — a lunar eclipse combined with a “super moon” — occurred without event on September 27. This was despite some predictions that it would herald the beginning of the apocalypse. Certain religious leaders had said the blood moon would trigger a chain of events that could see our planet destroyed in as little as seven years.

“God destroyed the first Earth with water, by a flood, in the days of Noah,” McCann said. “And he says he’ll not do that again, not by water. But he does say in 2nd Peter 3 that he’ll destroy it by fire.”

If you are reading this, be comforted that the earth is not near destruction yet.

Scientists have several theories about when this would happen. The most widely accepted theory is that the sun, which is already gradually increasing in temperature, will expand and swallow up the planet. Some scientists believe this could happen as soon as 7.6 billion years. This is long long, after we had all gone!
