El-Rufai in clear lead in Kaduna state

From the official results released by Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC in the northern Nigerian city of Kaduna this morning , the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, has maintained a clear lead, over the incumbent Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero.

So far out of the 15 of the 23 Local Government Areas, Local government areas in the state APC won 13 .

The results shows Mallam El Rufai of the APC scoring 864,693 votes over Alh. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero of the PDP, who scored 293,201 votes.

Meanwhile, the Returning Officer for Kaduna State gubernatorial election, Professor Ja’afar Kaura announced a short break at 12 noon to reconvene 2pm as the results from the remaining 8 LGAs are being awaited.
