In his famous BBC interview, where he expressed optimism that he would win this weekend’s presidential election, President Goodluck Jonathan also made an admission: he is not in charge of the military and he could not speak for them.
President Jonathan surely forgot that he is the commander-in-chief of the Nigerian armed forces.
His admission of powerlessness followed the interviewer’s barrage of questions on what the government used the yearly $5 billion security budget for, the whereabouts of the kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls and why it took so long for Nigeria, the ‘giant of Africa’, to embark on retaking territories lost to Boko Haram.
President Jonathan did not have any convincing explanation, except to say: I am not in charge.

Bitch, that statement is in present continuous tense…..the MOFO HAD NEVER BEEN IN CHARGE. THE BUCK SHOULD HAVE STOPED WITH HIM. WHO THE F@KK WAS IN CHARGE IF HE WASN’T?
The body language of Jonathan speaks volumes! especially when he is being asked those direct questions….he kept sinking into his seat, like he wanted to run out of there….and for me as a Nigerian he radiates incompetence and impotence that is very revealing about how he must have handled all discussions he was in. He is a softie and he conceded the power to the interviewer in the psychology of the discussion – this softie mien is what others have mis-interpreted as gentlemanly – of course to the pack of wolves around him who have been running the show and massaging his ego, he is gentlemanly and no one can manipulate him more than power-ladies, with due respect…look at his cabinet and you’d know what I mean. Like Obasanjo asked – who are the faceless people running the country? The military, the economy and all….Fellow Nigerians elect a new leader who have the capacity to lead. Elect Buhari Massively and let us give Mr. Jonathan a good send off party in every state capital including necessary entertainment from Nollywood.
Thats not true! He said ” I WAS NOT IN CHARGE” this is different from ” I AM NOT IN CHARGE” Misinformation, no matter how small could be a dangerous weapon that may provoke violence at the expense of people lives. We can excercise our right to chose a leader without instigating violence.

Jeez…..is this the dough parading as President of Nigeria? It’s not his fault that he became President However it will be his fault that he will not be reelected. The man was drowsy for most of the interview. No wonder he failed the people of the North East. He must have been in front of the mirror powdering his face and readjusting his bowler hat while Boko Haram slaughtered our fellow citizens. He has contributed to or formulated policy for Nigeria for eight years and yet was comfortable to feign ignorance on the whereabouts of over $5B in defence budget over that period. I WAS WRONG ON BUHARI…..This door knob ought to go. Allah ya tamake Buhari.
