The assortment of shoes left here will never see most of their owners again.

They were left behind by scores of worshippers at the Kano Grand Mosque on Friday before Boko Haram death merchants struck with bombs and bullets.

No fewer than 100 people died in the barbaric attack, with scores of others including children gravely injured.

Boko Haram is yet to make its ghostly video to claim yet another orgy of violence, but if the shoes can talk, they will be asking Abubakar Shekau: where are our owners?
