The Secretary of Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Local Government Chairmen’s Forum, Mr Sunday Olaifa,
said he is confident the party will form the next government in the state.

“Lagosians are yearning for a change”, he told NAN in an interview.

He said the PDP had resolved to come out with the best candidates at all levels through the primaries.

According to him, it is becoming increasingly clear to the ruling party in the state will be defeated by one man, one vote.

“PDP will win the coming governorship and other elections in the state.

“As a party, we are doing everything humanly possible and legally too to ensure victory. We have done reconciliation in the state like it had never been done before. We have gone far in the area of mobilisation as it had never been done in the party.

“The State Executive Committee went on tour of all the 20 local government chapters of the party across the state to mobiulise the people. It can be seen that Lagosians have been rejecting the APC. One can feel it that the coming elections will not be business as usual in favour of the APC.

“The tax burden in Lagos is another reason why Lagosians have decided to reject the APC in the forthcoming 2015 general elections,’’ Olaifa said.

Olaifa said the PDP would not allow any rigging by the APC in the coming election in the state.
