Days after beating Arsenal 2-0 in a UEFA Champions League match, Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund got the better of Arsenal again after its website was ranked best among participating teams in the Champions League.

The fourth edition of the ranking, which comes from a study conducted by Departamento de Internet, saw the Dortmund website score 96 points while Arsenal’s website scored 95 points to come in second.

Dortmund’s bvb.de site was revamped in November 2013 and now attracts 1.2million unique visitors per month according to the German club.

The study used structure and navigation, language and writing, user orientation and website objective as part of the criteria for the ranking, with Dortmund’s given perfect score in all but one criterion.

The rest of the top five comprised Barcelona in third with 94 points, Bayern Munich in fourth with 93 points and last season’s Champions League finalist Atletico Madrid in fifth place with 92 points.

The study began in 2011 with Premier League champions Manchester City’s website ranked best in the first edition while the websites of Barcelona and Bayern received the top marks in 2012 and 2013 respectively.
