Juventus have won the Serie A title for a third successive season after their closest rivals AS Roma were beaten 4-1 at Catania in one of today’s matches in the Italian top flight.

With their match at home to Atalanta coming up on Monday, Juventus can now not be caught by Roma that lie eight points behind the Bianconeri with two games left to play.

In other matches played in Italy, Juventus’ city rivals Torino sustained their push for a Europa League ticket with a 1-0 win at Chievo Verona while Parma kept up the pressure on Torino, winning 2-0 at home to Sampdoria to remain a point behind the second Turin club.

At the other end of the table, bottom side Livorno saw their hopes of survival dimmed in a 5-3 loss at Udinese, a result that leaves Livorno one match away from being relegated.

Meanwhile, Lazio will host Hellas Verona at the Olympic Stadium in Rome with both sides seeking a win to keep alive their Europa League ambitions.

Likewise, AC Milan will also be seeking a win to remain in the hunt for a Europa League spot when they ‘host’ city rivals fifth placed Inter Milan later on in the Milan derby.
