A non-indigenous political association, the All Progressive Congress (APC) United Residence Alliance (AURA), has pledged total support for the reelection of Kano state Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, during the forthcoming general election.

AURA also promised to work for the victory of all APC candidates in the state, insisting that non-indigenes in Kano have hugely benefited from Governor Yusuf’s democratic dividends, particularly in the area of infrastructural development.

AURA particularly cited the ongoing rehabilitations of major roads in Sabon Gari, predominantly dominated by non-natives, including the Zungeru Road and Sarki Yaki Road.

The Coordinator of AURA, Hon. Seyi Olorunsola, in a Statement, appealed to all non-indigenes in Kano to work for the victory of Governor Yusuf in the 2027 elections.

According to him, “the formation of AURA-Kano follows the historic political realignment in January 2026, when His  Excellency, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf officially rejoined the APC.

He listed the objective of AURA-Kano to include: ensuring the dispensation of dividends of democracy to every corner of Kano state.

According to him, “we are ensuring that non-indigenes are not just spectators, but active stakeholders in the governance.”

Seyi described AURA-Kano as a strong political platform with membership strength from diverse non-native communities—including the Igbo, Yoruba, South-South, and other northern tribes.

He said the group aligns with  Governor Yusuf’s transformative agenda and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda.

Seyi further stated that the group is working harmoniously with the newly elected state party leadership, led by State Chairman, Hon. Umar Haruna Doguwa.

“This new umbrella political organization aims to unite all ethnic groups living in the state under

mass mobilization: delivering a decisive voting bloc for the APC across all 44 Local Government Areas,” Seyi stated.
