In the face of random security breaches occasioning killings and abductions in parts of Kogi State, the state Security Adviser, retired Commander Jerry Omodara, has cautioned the Lawmaker representing Kogi West Senatorial District, Senator Sunday Karimi, to face his legislative business and stop destabilizing the State.
Omodara commented while speaking with Newsmen in Lokoja on the sidelines of a One-Day Workshop for women with the theme “Building Trust for a Renewed Hope” organized by his office in collaboration with Kogi Women Empowerment Coalition (KWEC).
According to him, the recent comments of the Senator are capable of instigating violence in Kogi West, describing his position as self-centered, which does not represent the interests of the District.
He said at no time did the Senator call a town hall meeting where he was asked to speak on the power shift on behalf of his Kogi West Constituents.
The security adviser advised the senator to desist from causing division in Kogi West, as the people are more enlightened and know what is best for them.
It would be recalled that during a public engagement in Kabba on Saturday, 9th November, Karimi had hinted at an ongoing discussion between Kogieast and Kogiwest on how the latter can clinch the governorship seat in 2027. The current governor, Usman Ododo, hails from Kogicentral.
