NWDC, NPC partner to boost productivity in North-West

The North-West Development Commission (NWDC) and the National Productivity Centre (NPC) have discussed areas of partnership aimed at boosting productivity and fostering development in the North-West region.

The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NWDC, Prof. Shehu Abdullahi Ma’aji, and the Director-General of the NPC, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, opened discussions for collaboration at the NPC headquarters in Abuja.

During the meeting, both parties established strategic partnerships to enhance productivity across the seven North-West states through joint capacity-building programmes in agriculture, manufacturing, and the SME sectors.

In his welcome address, the Director-General of the NPC, Dr. Baffa Babba Dan Agundi, explained the initiative and expressed the NPC’s readiness to support the NWDC’s developmental agenda through joint training programmes, productivity assessments, and technical assistance.

He said the Commission remains committed to building strategic alliances with federal agencies to fulfill its mandate of promoting socio-economic development in Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Sokoto, and Zamfara states.

The Managing Director of the NWDC expressed delight over the opportunities in the partnership and promised to ensure that the Commission maximizes the benefits
