Three victims kidnapped by some gunmen have cried out to their loved ones to pay the ₦70 million ransom demanded by their abductors to enable them to regain freedom.

The victims were abducted in early August in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government of Edo State, when they went to deliver ransom for some victims abducted earlier.

They appealed in a viral video released by their captors, pleading with their loved ones to complete the ransom payment to free them from torture.

One of the victims, who identified himself simply as Lukeman, spoke on behalf of the other two.

He appealed to their family members and other spirited individuals to help raise the funds.

The kidnappers, who masked their faces in the video, displayed a human skull, as the victims continued to plead for assistance to enable them to regain their freedom.

A source in the community disclosed that the kidnappers had demanded ₦70 million ransom for the earlier victims, but it was negotiated down to an undisclosed amount.

But, on reaching the captivity to deliver the ransom, they were held down by the kidnappers who insisted that the ₦70 million earlier demanded must be completed before releasing them.

The source added that following the video, the victims’ age group in Auchi have been going around the community to raise funds to complete the ransom and get them released.
