A socio-political organisation, Ogun Visionaries, has called for the Yewa Awori zone to produce the next Governor of Ogun State in the 2027 election.

The group’s convener, Hon. Leye Odunjo, while speaking at a press conference held at Press Centre Okelewo Abeokuta, emphasised the need for unity and strategic planning to achieve this goal.

He said, “The Ogun Visionaries believe that Yewa Awori must speak with one voice to build momentum for the governorship ambition. Noting that the group has endorsed Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, as their preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship election.

He hinted at the strides of Senator Adeola’s representation of the district, citing his efforts in employment, appointments, project execution, and infrastructure development.

The group is appealing to residents of Ogun State to support Senator Adeola’s candidacy, citing his leadership qualities, vision, and commitment to the state’s development.

“We believe that if Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi’s emergence as governor, he will truly transform the State and consolidate on the gains of past governors.

He is a man with a clear vision, dedication, and focus to effectively manage the state’s economic potential and natural resources if given the mandate.”

The Ogun Visionaries’ endorsement of Senator Adeola’s candidacy marks a significant development in the lead-up to the 2027 governorship election.
