The new Liberia’s Central Bank Executive Governor, Henry F Saamoi, is not a newcomer to the banking landscape, having spent 25 years as the Chief Executive Officer CEO of International Bank Limited, a leading bank of unquestionable repute.

Saamoi is a seasoned banker, known for his untainted talents, locally and internationally.

He was recently confirmed by the Liberian Senate on February 4, 2025 as substantive Executive Governor with full authority to steer the country’s monetary policies.

He was officially commissioned as the country’s new Executive Governor by President Joseph  Boakai on March 4, 2025.

He received overwhelming 21 votes in his favour in the Senate confirmation, with no opposing or abstaining votes, thereby getting Presidential affirmation a month later.
