Rivers Police Command: Disu Out, Abaniwonda in as CP

A new Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, the current Commissioner of Police in Delta State has been posted to Rivers to replace CP Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

This followed the postings of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, who appointed new commissioners for the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Delta and Rivers States.

According to the new postings, CP Tunji Disu will take over as the new Commissioner of Police for the Federal Capital Territory.

CP Tunji Rilwan Disu, who has served as the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State since November 2023, will be succeeded by CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, the current Commissioner of Police in Delta State.
