Cloudy, sunny weather to prevail on Friday- NiMet

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted cloudy to partly cloudy, sunny and dust haze weather conditions with localised thunderstorms over most parts of the country on Friday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook on Thursday in Abuja also predicted partly cloudy to sunny condition over the central states with dust haze conditions over Yola, Gombe, Jos, Kaduna and Abuja.
It also predicted that Mambilla axis would experience localised thunderstorms in the morning with day and night temperatures of 29 to 36 and 17 to 26 degrees Celsius.
The agency predicted that northern states would experience dust haze conditions with visibility range of two to five kilometres and localised visibility of 1000 metres.
It further predicted that the northern region would have day and night temperatures of 37 to 40 and 21 to 25 degrees Celsius.
According to NiMet, southern states will experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the inland cities and cloudy conditions over the coastal axis during the morning hours.
“Later in the day, scattered thunderstorms are envisaged over the entire region with day and night temperatures of 30 to 34 and 21 to 24 degrees Celsius.
“The extreme north is expected to be in dust haze conditions while partly cloudy to cloudy conditions will prevail over the central states down to the southern states in the morning hours.
“There are chances of scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening hours,” NiMet stated.
