Mr Victor Abang, the All Progressive Congress candidate for Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency in Cross River, has advised youths to shun thuggery and all forms of violence during the 2019 polls.

Abang gave the advice at Kakwagom community in Boki local government area during the grand finale of his ward to ward tour across the 22 political wards of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency.

He said that youths should not allow themselves to be used by politicians to engage in violence of any kind during the polls.

The APC candidate told his supporters to show their strength by using their Permanent Voter Cards to vote for him on the day of the election.

According to him, no youth deserves to die or be beaten or injured over the ambition of any politicians, adding that his supporters should imbibe the spirit of tolerance and peaceful co-existence.

“I am in this race to win the election. I want to charge my teeming supporters to be law abiding by shunning all forms of violence and thuggery during the polls.

“I am happy that we have concluded our ward to ward tour in Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency without any hitch.

“I want to graciously thank the good people of Ikom/Boki for their show of love and solidarity during the tour.

“The massive turn out of supporters at each ward was an indication that our victory to the National Assembly is certain.

“I urge you to go back to your different wards and canvass for more votes and support for me. I want to assure you once again that I will not disappoint your mandate if elected on Feb. 16,’’ he said.

Prince Eka Williams, the Director General of Abang Reality Campaign Network, also thanked the people for their commitment towards the aspiration of Abang.

Williams assured the people that Abang would run an all-inclusive representation towards improving the economic wellbeing of the people.

The APC Chapter Chairman in Boki, Mr Atim Asu, appealed to the people to come out enmasse on Feb. 16 to vote for Abang.

Asu added that Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency deserves a better representation and a lawmaker who is close to his constituents and accessible at all times.
