2019: What I will do if elected as Nasarawa governor – PDP candidate

Mr David Emmanuel-Ombugadu, the Nasarawa State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, has promised to initiate good polices and programmes to benefit the whole people of the state, if elected in 2019.
Emmanuel-Ombugadu, who is also a two term member representing Akwanga/Nassarawa Eggon/Wamba Federal, said this on Sunday in an interview with newsmen in Akwanga.
The lawmaker, who is the Chairman, House Committee on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Control, said that he was in the  race to bring the much-needed positive change to the  people of the state.
According to him,  “I am seeking the mandate of my people to lift the state to an enviable heights with full assurance to serve the best interest of our peophe.
“It is my dream and the dream of everybody in Nasarawa State to have a new Nasarawa State that will service the whole people and for every body to be comforted.
“We have good blueprints for new Nasarawa State: A civil service that is working, local government that is working; we will give attention to the welfare of pensioners.
“We will empower women, youths among others. We have a platform for the youth and women so that we don’t have women that will be relegated to the kitchen or the bedroom in the state.
“We have abundant potentials in the state. We will ensure the full utilisation of the resources for the benefits of our people.
” If elected governor, we will run an all-inclusive government that will foster the core democratic  principles of governance that will be inclusive, accountable, responsible and committed to improving the quality of lives of our people.
“The kind of leadership that the people of the state should expect from me is an inclusive leadership as we will consult the people and they will  fully participant in decision making.
“Our agenda of governance lies on the interest and the aspiration  of thee people that cuts across various areas or sectors.
“I will engage all the principles of good governance which is accountability, transparency, inclusiveness, equity and participation. Our kind of governance structure will be people-oriented,” he said.
Emmanuel-Ombugadu assured the people of the state of adequate protection of lives, if elected governor.
He also promised to give adequate attention to infrastructure development across the state.
The governorship candidate solicited for the votes of the people and Nigerians to enable PDP win the forthcoming elections in the country.
