
A 23-year-old student, Patrick Moses, on Tuesday appeared before a Kuje Upper Area Court in FCT over alleged theft of a Tecno phone worth N80,000.
Moses, who resides at Anguwan Grade, is facing a two-count charge of house breaking and theft.
The Prosecutor, Doris Okoroba, told the court that the Complainant, Mr Alfa Sule, a resident of Kayarda, reported the case at the Kuje Police Station on Oct. 10.
Okoroba said that the accused broke into Sule’s house and stole the phone but was apprehended when he was about to sell it to a repairer.
The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 287 and 326 of the Penal Code.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Judge, Malam Abdulahi Abdulkareem, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until Nov. 27 for further hearing.
