Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal Wednesday told some youth associations and students on a solidarity visit to his office in Sokoto that he is under pressure to run for president in 2019.
“I have been receiving advices and encouragement from our leaders, peoples across the country and even from abroad to contest for presidency and this pressure is being mounting,” Tambuwal told his visitors.
“It is not my making but the quantum of pressure from everywhere because of leadership gap in the country,” the governor who assured that he will reveal his response to the pressures in a few days said.
Leader of the groups, Comrade Bashir Gorau pledged that his members are waiting for the governor to declare his presidential ambition.
“We are tired of waiting, we want you to declare your position now,” he said.
