Just in: National Assembly says no plan to reconvene on Tuesday

Contrary to reports in the media, the National Assembly will not reconvene on Tuesday, August 14.

Mr Abdulrazak Namdas, spokesperson for the House of Representatives told Punch on Monday that the house was yet to decide the date to reconvene.

His assertion was contrary to announcement made by the Deputy Speaker of the House, Mr Yusuf Lasun last week.

The Deputy Speaker had told reporters that the two chamber of the National Assembly will reconvene on Tuesday to to consider INEC’s budget for the 2019 polls and issues from the executive.
