Kogi Governor’s Director General of Media and Publicity, Kingsley Fanwo has accused Hon Sunday Karimi of misrepresenting the people of Yagba through his “penchant for peddling falsehood against Governor Yahaya Bello, urging the House of Representatives Member to concentrate on delivering on the mandate given to him by the people.

This is contained in a statement detailing a meeting attended by some Yagba Youth who paid Fanwo a courtesy call in his office.
According to the Governor’s spokesman, Karimi has failed woefully in the mandate given to him to represent the people of Yagba Federal Constituency in the lower Chambers of the National Assembly.
“I thank you for identifying with our great party and for deciding to support the People’s Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello. All the propaganda by the PDP is aimed to hoodwinking the people ahead of the 2019 general elections.
“We know that all they have been saying is the issue of salaries but they have never told the world that their Government left a backlog of that while leaving. We paid the four months backlogs which they left unpaid despite taking fat allocations in those months.
“Look at the person our people voted for in 2015. He wants to blame GYB if rain fails to fall. The only time you see him in the House is when he wants to insult his own Governor. They are part of those who benefited from the fraud of Atlantic Energy. Their party was oiled by stolen wealth.
“Governor Yahaya Bello has commenced roads in Yagbaland. What has Karimi brought to our people other than substandard solar-powered boreholes? Let him come and show us what he has collected on our behalf and how much he has expended. Who are the Contractors handling the many projects he domiciled at the Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority?
“We have seen what other Reps in the State and even outside the state are doing for their people. He must come and account for what he collected on behalf of the Yagba people. The youth must take their destinies in their own hands .
“These people cannot continue to take us for granted. We didn’t send him there to insult the Governor or Mr President. We sent him there to bring democracy dividends to us and so far, his representation is disastrous and a monstrous failure”.
In his remarks, the leader of the delegation, Comrade Segun Alonge said they had come to declare support for the administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello. He thanked the Governor for paying improved Bursary to students across the state.
Alonge said the youth have already resolved to support the administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello, saying they have decided to issue an ultimatum to Hon. Sunday Karimi to either account for his Constituency Allowance or face massive protest across Yagbaland in the next two weeks.
