Breaking: ASUU calls off strike, asks lecturers to resume teaching

The Academic Staff Union of Nigerian Universities, ASUU, on Monday evening suspended its over one month strike after a meeting with the federal government delegation led by Senator Chris Ngige.

A memorandum of understanding was signed between the federal government delegation and and the university teachers.

The Union said it was suspending the strike till end of October for government to fulfill its pledges.

The union therefore asked lecturers to resume teaching from tomorrow, Tuesday.
