As the race for the winner of the N25 million Naira prize and a brand new SUV hots up, politicians and some state government are taking the centre stage to support Housemates from their constituencies and state.

Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, (Member Representing the people of Okpe State constituency at Delta state House of Assembly), wrote on his Facebook page;

“I am very proud of this young talented Deltan and a proud son of Okpe Kingdom who is doing well at the Big Brother Naija Reality TV show. Let’s support our very own to win the prize money. Campaign for TBoss

Similarly, last week, Senator Magnus Abe, representing Rivers South East started canvassing for the support of Miss Marvis Nkponwi, from Onne in Eleme local government area part of his constituency.Marvis survived the live eviction that eased off Bally.

The Rivers State Government is also campaigning for people to vote Marvis as the winner of the Big Brother Naija Reality TV show, through the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In a letter dated 3/4/2017 and signed by Michael Ejiohuo on behalf of the Rivers State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, it is expected that everyone will support Marvis Nkpornwi to win the competition and also make Rivers State proud.

It is also noteworthy that since Nigerian politicians took the centre stage, Big brother Naija garnered over 11 million votes. However, the Housemates have been barred from campaigning for votes from the House.

Last week, Housemates called on their respective states to vote for them. Bisola called on people of Ogun state to vote for her, Tboss solicited for Edo state votes, Hon.O. Igbendion representing Ovia North and Ovia South constituency of Edo state in House of Representatives roots Tboss.

Debi Rise has specifically called on Senator Dino Melaye,Governor Ambode of Lagos state, the Login state government and Aisha Buhari, the Wife of President Muhammadu Buhari for their votes.

Bill boards with Bisola’s bold photos have been erected in major road junctions in Yenagoa Bayelsa state canvassing for vote. Bisola’s mother is from Bayelsa but her father is from Ogun state.

Our Correspondent who has been following up the dynamics of the reality show reports that it is difficult to ascertain how last week’s campaigns can affect the final results but what remains certain is that more votes will tumble in this final week due to the renewed mobilization by fans of the reality show.
