The South African Treasury said on Friday it had successfully issued a pair of dollar bonds in overseas capital markets worth three billion dollars.
In a statement by the Treasury in Johannesburg, the bond was to help finance the country’s foreign currency commitments.
It said that the transactions were more than two and a half times oversubscribed.
It said the 12-year bond was priced at a 4.3 per cent coupon, while the 30-year bond at a five per cent coupon. (Reuters/NAN)
