General Evangelist of the Christ Apostolic Church, Prophet Samuel Abiara on Monday narrated how his wife, Prophetess Christianah died to journalists in Ibadan.

Prophet Abiara who told journalists that he had premonition of the death also said his wife has been sick for sometime before she passed on after prayers on Saturday evening.

“She had been sick for the past three weeks, but she was talking normally and taking part in normal daily activities. But the spirit of God told me that God was about to call her.

“After a prayer session at the hospital, I left her a day before she died and in the following evening, I came back and asked, jokingly, if she was about to be delivered of another set of twins because we have three sets of twins.

“Then we prayed again and shouted seven hallelujahs. After the last one, she breathed her last,” said Abiara.

The General Evangelist described his wife who he got married to in 1965 as a role model and a mother to him and everyone in the family.

He added that the deceased served God faithfully all her life.

“When we met, she was a fashion designer. We hardly offended each other; but even when there were minor disagreements, we looked up to the word of God that preaches love,” the General Evangelist said of his relationship with his wife.

He added that his late wife whom he met through her father was also renowned for her humility and gentleness.

“I never regretted marrying her,” he added.

According to him, the late Christianah has been close to God from her youthful days because her late father,  Evang. Adasofunjo was also a notable man of God.

He added that the late Prophetess was also the only child of her mother.

“She never kept malice, just as the Bible commands. With her, I never knew suffering or hunger because she took good care of me. She was not my wife but my mother,” Prophet Abiara added.

Meanwhile,  Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara has commiserated with Prophet Abiara, on the death of his wife.

The governor, in a condolence message, described the deceased as a woman of virtue who lived her life with the fear of God and was devoted to humanity.

The condolence message was signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Abdulwahab Oba, and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Ilorin.

According to Ahmed, the prayers of the deceased will be missed given the challenges confronting the country.

The governor prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and the deceased eternal rest in the bosom of God. (NAN)
