Niger Delta Avengers (NDA) has denied reports which circulated like wild fire on Wednesday afternoon that it has agreed to be part of talks being planned by Nigerian government with militant groups operating in the oil producing Niger Delta region.

The group which has claimed responsibility for most of the recent attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta region said it did not know one Ballantyne Agiri, who described himself as spokesman for the Dialogue Group of NDA.

Agiri had in the statement indicated that militant group was ready to dialogue with government.

Mudoch  Agbinibo, who have been signing statements issued by the NDA  denied  the report and its purveyor (Agiri) even as he affirmed that Niger Delta Avengers had no plans to dialogue or enter into a meeting with government in response to enquiries from journalists on Wednesday.

“That report is not from us. We are not in any form of dialogue agreement with anybody. It’s like the Government wants to dialogue with themselves.”

“Who is Mr. Ballantyne Agiri the claimed dialogue group spokesman? We don’t know you. And please stop fooling the general public,” the NDA spokesperson said.

Agbinibo also later denied the claims of dialogue with Federal Government as well as the purveyor on his twitter handle.

“Who is Mr. Ballantyne Agiri the claimed dialogue group spokesman? We don’t know you and please stop fooling the general public.

“We are not ready for any negotiation or dialogue with the federal government,” he said on the twitter handle.
