Approximately 50 children have been hospitalised in the southern French city of Nice after a truck plowed into Bastille Day celebrations along the main promenade killing 84 people, news agency AFP reports.

The children were in the pediatric hospital of Nice, and AFP cites a spokesman for the hospital saying that some were between life and death.

Report says two of them died in surgery Friday morning

The Interior Ministry has said 84 people were killed in the attacks and 18 are in critical condition, and that those numbers were expected to rise. (dpa/NAN)
