Senator Ben Murray-Bruce said he is taking action to resolve the situation which led the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria to take over control of companies under the Silverbird Group in Lagos and Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Thursday morning.

AMCON had taken over  Silverbird Galleria buldings in Abuja and Lagos in execution of a court order over N11 debt.

Companies owned by the Senator operates from the Galleria buildings.

The take over of the buildings disrupted operation of the companies as the workers were barred from entrance into their premises.

The Senator, who said he was on transit while the companies were being taken over said he resolving the problems with AMCON to return normalcy to them in a series of tweets.

“I have been on an international flight and have only just landed. The situation is being resolved and things will be back to normal,” said Ben Bruce.

“In 36 years, Silverbird has grown and like anybody, it will face challenges. Tough times don’t last. But we, as tough people, outlast them.”
