Ex-Lagos Commissioner Adeniji Adele dies at 60

Former Lagos State Commissioner, Ademola Adeniji Adele died early Thursday in India.

Family sources say that former Commissioner of Sports during the government of Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola died at the age of 60 after a successful surgery.

The politician was said to have travelled to India early this year because of an undisclosed ailment.

Adele’s last position in government was the Commissioner of Sports before Wahid Enitan Oshodi took over. He left Fashola’ government due to ill health.

Until his death, he had relocated from his Festac, Lagos residence to Badagry where he was into Cattle rearing.

Family sources however revealed that Adele will be flown from India on Friday, while he will be buried on Friday at his residence in Festac.

Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, was shocked to hear the news of the demise of the late Adele. Its Technical Committee boss, Chris Green said Thursday morning that “it’s sad. RIP. My heart goes to his family, friends and the good people of Lagos State
