Mrs Jummai Bello has set the pace in Bauchi state as the first female CEO of the state owned radio station.
Gov. Mohammed Abubakar approved her appointment today as the Managing Director of Bauchi Radio Corporation, according to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Malam Bello Ilelah.
Fifty five year-old Jummai was a 1982 Mass Communication graduate of Bayero University, Kano.
Until her appointment, she was the Director of News and Current Affairs of the station.
A former Director of National Orientation Agency (NOA) in charge of Bauchi State, Bello now becomes the first female to hold the position of the Managing Director of the station.
Bello replaces Alhaji Maigari Kanna who retired after putting up 35 years in the service of Bauchi State government
The statement also announced the appointment of Mrs Fatima Halilu as the Director-General, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and the re-appointment of Mr Nura Danmadami as the Director-General, Debt Management Agency
