Popular Nollywood actor Femi Adebayo has joined the league of entertainers taking up political post.
Adebayo, the son of veteran actor Adebayo Salami, has been appointed by the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatai Ahmed as his Special Assistant on Arts, Culture and Tourism.
The 43 year-old actor, director and producer is a trained lawyer. He is expected to bring his wealth of experience to bear in service to his home state, Kwara.
Adebayo has been receiving accolades and honour from various quarters. He was honoured with AHBEA Iconic Award in Houston Texas and ZAFAA International Awards among others.
The actor has also recorded huge success with his South West tour tagged “Get Inspired” which is aimed at inspiring young adults in secondary school.
The appointment takes effect immediately.
