Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is Africa’s player of the year

Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Gabonese player  has emerged Africa’s player of 2015, in an award given Thursday by the Confederation of African Football.

The award was held in collaboration with Nigeria’s leading telecom firm, Globacom.

Aubameyang edged out Manchester City’s Yaya Toure, who had won the award in succession in the last four years.

Andre Ayew came third.
